AmeriServ Financial Bank Provides Funding For Secure Living Environments For Seniors

JOHNSTOWN, PA–AmeriServ Financial Bank is helping to provide safe and secure living environments for seniors in the communities it serves by funding two local Senior Crimestoppers Programs.  In conjunction with CRA Partners, the bank came forward to help vulnerable seniors by funding this program that protects those who live and work in local care facilities.

“Crime against the elderly in our society is a growing concern but can be reduced and prevented through programs like these. AmeriServ believes in this worthwhile cause and is proud to partner with Crimestoppers and CRA Partners to provide funding to non-profit organizations when possible. We share similar missions and goals with both organizations. We want to help provide better life experiences for their residents. We’re a community bank and we have vested interest in the safety of our neighbors,” Michael Lynch, AmeriServ chief financial officer, said.

The first presentation will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the Vincentian De Marillac located at 5300 Stanton Avenue, Pittsburgh. The second presentation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 9:30 am at the Little Sisters Of The Poor located at 1028 Benton Avenue, Pittsburgh. Members of the media and public are encouraged to attend.
