Ascension Names Stricker to Lead Ascension Post-Acute Services

St. LOUIS, MO–Daniel (Danny) Stricker has been chosen to lead Ascension’s new Post-Acute Services Division—bringing in-depth knowledge of the strategic and operational aspects of the post-acute industry, to this new role as president of Ascension Post-Acute Services.
In his new role, effective July 1, Stricker will provide strategic and operational leadership over Ascension’s diversified post-acute services, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, short-term rehab and PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) within the Ascension Living portfolio. In addition, Danny will assume responsibility for the home health, hospice, palliative care, home infusion and home medical equipment service lines.

Stricker most recently served as chief operating officer for Ascension Living, where he directed operational and clinical integration of post-acute services to achieve exceptional outcomes and effectively position Ascension Living to be competitive in the value-based care marketplace.
Prior to that, Stricker served as regional chief executive officer for Ascension Healthcare’s Carondelet Long-Term Care Facilities in Kansas City and upon the formation of Ascension Living in 2014, he served as the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, where he led key, strategic initiatives for the organization.
Stricker, who grew up in the St. Louis area, received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management from William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri, and a master’s degree in health administration from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Missouri. He is a graduate of the Ascension Executive Ministry Leadership formation program and in 2016, Danny was recognized as one of the Catholic Health Association’s “Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
Stricker and his wife, Julia, have three children, Sophia, 9, Danny, 7 and Scarlett, 4, and live in Des Peres, MO.
