The Avamere Family of Companies Recognized as One of Oregon’s Most Admired Companies

December 27, 2017

Portland, OR–The Avamere Family of Companies is recognized as one of Oregon’s most admired companies in the health care category from a survey of nearly 4,800 chief executive officers across Oregon and southwest Washington. Business leaders from Avamere received the honor at the annual luncheon hosted by the Portland Business Journal. Avamere is the only post-acute care provider to be recognized in the “health care” category, which includes hospitals, health insurers, and other health services providers.

“Avamere continues to be one of Oregon’s most admired companies because we stay true to our core values,” says Gary Wart, CEO. “We are always innovating our practices and reaching to learn, grow and embrace change. Through our successful participation in progressive reimbursement programs like CMS’s Bundled Payments for Care Improvement, taking the lead on an in-depth research partnership with IBM to advance care delivery, and our ability to improve care pathways between hospitals and our post-acute care systems; Avamere has earned a well-deserved reputation of delivering quality outcomes for our partners, patients and the communities we serve.”

The 2017 list is the eleventh year the Portland Business Journal has asked CEOs in the region to select the three companies they admire most across eight industries. Avamere was ranked alongside some of the state’s most prestigious health care institutions such as Oregon Health & Science University, Randall Children’s Hospital, Providence St. Vincent, and Cambia Health Solutions.
