Cappella of Grand Junction Purchased by Christian Living Communities
DENVER, CO–Christian Living Communities (CLC), a Denver-based not-for-profit specializing in senior care and services, announced it has purchased Cappella of Grand Junction, a local assisted living/memory care community. The Cappella community of 66 apartment homes is located in Grand Junction, CO.
Cappella Living Solutions (Cappella) is the management and consulting division of Christian Living Communities (CLC) and has been operating the community since they broke ground in 2016 through a development partnership with Confluent Senior Living, a subsidiary of Denver-based real estate investment and development firm Confluent Development. CLC’s purchase of the community from Confluent Senior Living was financed with owner equity and tax-exempt bond financing.
The 52,000-square-foot community provides care for community older adults in a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom suites. The community features innovative amenities designed to enrich residents’ lives through social, intellectual, inspirational and physical programs.
“Cappella of Grand Junction was already ‘in the family’ so operations and services will not change,” said Terry Rogers, President and CEO of CLC/Cappella. “Because CLC is a not-for-profit organization, team members and residents of our Grand Junction community may now have the ability to benefit from our not-for-profit programs such as applying for donation-funded scholarships, grants and endowments.”
Rogers provided several examples of programs that could be offered, including CLC’s Student Debt Reduction fund, which aids team members with student debt from college or nursing school. In addition to covering past educational costs, CLC has awarded more than $23,000 in scholarships to 16 staff members in 2019. CLC will work with the Grand Junction team to create a donor relations program that will also benefit residents.
Cappella and Confluent Senior Living worked hand-in-hand to bring innovative and person-directed senior living services to the Western Slope. When it came time to sell the property, ensuring that quality and commitment continue was paramount.

CLC/Cappella now owns six senior living community operations in Colorado and is responsible for the management of 20 additional communities across seven states including Utah, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Indiana and Missouri.
