Ingleside is Named A Great Place to Work

September 24, 2019

ROCKVILLE, MD–Ingleside, a premier, charitable not-for-profit provider of comprehensive older adult opportunities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, recently became Great Place to Work Certified. The certification process considered nearly 500 employee surveys from the organization’s life plan communities and affiliates.

“Our team is honored to know we have been certified as a Great Place to Work thanks to our dedicated staff who cited satisfaction due to the care provided to our residents,” said Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Compliance, Sam Albanese. “The overwhelming majority of our staff also ‘feel good about the ways we contribute to the community.’ As a charitable, not-for-profit organization, we could not be more proud of our team and their commitment to our core values.”

The Great Place to Work Institute is an independent research and consulting firm, whose survey assessed more than 60 elements of Ingleside employees’ experience on the job. Some of these elements include employee pride in Ingleside’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference and feeling their work has a special meaning.

“We applaud Ingleside for seeking this certification,” said Dr. Jacquelyn Kung, of Great Place to Work’s senior care affiliate Activated Insights. “The certification ratings measured Ingleside’s capacity to earn its own employees’ trust which creates a great workplace for high performance.”

As part of the certification process, Ingleside demonstrated it can create a positive work environment with a wide range of generations, as the greater part of the staff agreed that when they joined Ingleside, they were made to feel welcome.

This certification comes at a time when each of Ingleside’s communities are adding more programs, services and spaces. Recently, Ingleside at King Farm in Rockville, Maryland opened its state-of-the-art Center for Healthy Living and memory support assisted living neighborhoods, and will soon open Gardenside, with 120 new independent living residences. Ingleside at Rock Creek’s Creekside in northwestern Washington, D.C. will soon open with 105 new independent living residences accompanied by its own Center for Healthy Living and memory support assisted living.

Ingleside is the parent organization for three CARF-accredited, charitable not-for-profit, life plan communities (formerly continuing care retirement communities) and its affiliates, including: Westminster Ingleside Foundation, WING (Westminster Ingleside Group), which focuses on real estate development and management,  Ingleside at Home, a not-for-profit, charitable home-based care program. Ingleside’s family of communities include: Ingleside at Rock Creek (Washington, D.C.), Westminster at Lake Ridge (Lake Ridge, VA), and Ingleside at King Farm (Rockville, MD).
