Jefferson’s Ferry Hosts Their 15th Annual Monte Carlo Night

October 28, 2018

SOUTH SETAUKET, NYJefferson’s Ferry’s recent Monte Carlo Night Fundraising Gala, the “Gatsby Gamble,” marked 15 years of outstanding support for the Jefferson’s Ferry Foundation. Close to 250 party-goers donned their beaded dresses, spectator shoes and straw boaters and enjoyed a lavish buffet, Monte Carlo style games, conversation and dancing.

The proceeds from Monte Carlo Night are one of the sources of funding for the Jefferson’s Ferry Foundation’s Resident Assistance Fund, which was established to provide an extra cushion to help cover the monthly fees of residents who have outlived their assets or experience an unanticipated financial need through no fault of their own. In its 15th year, the popular gala had its most successful fundraiser yet, raising more than $82,000 with 253 tickets sold.

“The Resident Assistance Fund was established to protect the peace of mind that the Jefferson’s Ferry lifestyle offers residents,” said Bob Caulfield, President and CEO of Jefferson’s Ferry. “The generosity demonstrated by so many neighbors, friends, and families both within and outside the community who support the fund is a source of endless gratitude and reflective of the community spirit that abides here.”

Jefferson’s Ferry is a not-for-profit Life Plan community for active adults age 62 and above, with cottages, apartments, assisted living, and health care center all on one site along Long Island’s north shore.
