Medistar Corporation Announces Development Of Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living And Memory Care Facility In Humble, TX

HUMBLE, TX–Medistar Corporation (“Medistar”) announced today that it has begun development of a new transitional care facility at the southwestern corner of McKay Road and McKay Crossing Drive in Humble, Texas 77338. Now in design, the facility will provide 104 total beds, including 70 beds of skilled nursing focusing on short-term rehabilitation care, 18 beds of assisted living and 16 beds of memory care, all in approximately 60,000 gross square feet.

The innovative facility will deliver a fully integrated post-acute care continuum and provide personalized services and care options that address unmet needs of local healthcare providers and patients. Importantly, the facility will provide high quality care to patients following an injury or illness, and offer a full range of services — medical, rehabilitative, and social — to patients and senior residents.

The modern transitional care facility is being designed by Pi Architects and will be built by SCI Construction, Inc., with construction scheduled for completion in 2018.
