Monica Friedman Joins LCS as Chief Human Resources Officer

DES MOINES, IOWA—LCS announced today that Monica Friedman was hired as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, reporting to Joel Nelson, president and CEO. Most recently, she served as senior vice president of human resources for Nationwide and joins LCS on November 12, 2018.

“We believe Monica’s in-depth experience working with large-scale companies, combined with her strategic and business skill set fits perfectly with our company’s current needs and future growth plans,” said Nelson. “LCS has a strong leadership within our human resources department and together, they are accountable for leading 23,000 employees across 32 states that serve 34,000 seniors.”

Friedman brings more than 20 years of human resources experience to LCS. As a senior executive with Nationwide, she was responsible for developing and implementing companywide recruitment and talent development strategies, creating organizational structures that supported long-term strategic goals, and providing HR guidance and counsel to senior leaders.

Friedman serves on the boards of United Way of Central Iowa, Mercy Hospital Des Moines, and Business Education Alliance. She is a past honoree for the Des Moines Business Record’s Women of Influence and served as an appointee to the Governor’s Regional Workforce Investment Board. Friedman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in industrial relations human resources from The University of Iowa.
