Senior Resource Group Announces Maravilla at The Domain

May 16, 2018

AUSTIN, TX–Senior Resource Group (SRG), an innovator in the retirement industry with senior living communities across the United States, announced the company is expanding its operations into Texas for its 33rd community. Maravilla at The Domain in Austin is scheduled for completion June 2019.

“Maravilla is located in one of Austin’s most dynamic locations, offering the connectivity that is essential for an active senior lifestyle,” said SRG President and CEO Michael Grust. “Maravilla will be a next-generation senior living community that will marry the attributes of home, hospitality, inspiring wellness programming, and the ability to stay connected and engaged within the community and surrounding neighborhood.”

Located in the heart of The Domain’s residential area, Maravilla at The Domain will be an elegant, state-of-the-art, continuum-of-care senior living campus for residents age 62 and older. Capitalizing on The Domain’s live-work-play environment, the 370,000 square-foot development will offer 230 residences – a mix of 142 independent living, 54 assisted living and 34 memory care residences, and associated services and amenities, including access to an on-site rehabilitation center. The multi-level community will be comprised of an 11-story South Tower, six- and seven-story Central and North Towers, subterranean parking, courtyards and a swimming pool.

Senior Resource Group purchased the 3.77-acre development in 2015 and began construction in 2017. The company chose Austin because the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Area is home to the second-fastest-growing population of adults age 65 and older in the United States and the fastest-growing population of pre-seniors aged 55-64, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. In Northwest Austin, the pre-senior demographic has grown by 25 percent and the number of seniors increased by 38 percent from 2011-2016.

“So many people are moving to Austin every day, many for technology-based jobs, and seniors typically want to live close to their children and grandchildren,” said Grust. “As Austin continues to grow, this service will be very beneficial and necessary.”

Focusing on residents’ health and well-being today and tomorrow—Maravilla’s continuum-of-care campus will feature a range of residential lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living, and memory care as well as onsite access to rehabilitation/post-acute care services. Continuum-of-care communities offer residents a variety of lifestyle and supportive care options allowing them to comfortably and conveniently age in place.

Like SRG’s 32 other senior living communities, Maravilla will boast hospitality-focused services, amenities and innovative programming, including 12-hour restaurant-style dining, theater, library, bistro, Internet lounge, wellness center, and a host of other special indoor and outdoor spaces designed to balance and complement an active lifestyle. More than 200 employees will be dedicated to offering residents the finest quality service and care. Maravilla will attract individuals and couples seeking opportunities for vibrancy, socialization, stimulation and interaction in an upscale, contemporary environment.

Offering residency on a monthly rental fee basis, residents will enjoy a vast array of services and programs included in their monthly rent.

For more than 30 years, SRG has been developing and operating award-winning senior living communities throughout the United States. Known for its distinctive designs and innovative amenities, it is common knowledge to everyone who lives and works with SRG that the company’s senior living communities are fueled by a passion and drive to create environments that enhance the quality of people’s lives.

“The residents in our other senior living communities tell us, first and foremost, they want an engaged living environment located right in the heart of the action,” said Grust. “Maravilla at The Domain delivers on that request in every respect.”
