The Village at Mill Landing Offers Free Classes Focusing on Needs of Caregivers

ROCHESTER, NY–The Village at Mill Landing will offer a six-week educational program this month for people who care for older adults with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other long-term health conditions. The series of classes will provide caregivers with the skills and confidence to better care for their loved ones and themselves.
The free six-week program, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, focuses on the needs of caregivers while being around those who understand the journey and how tough it can be. Attendees will learn several self-care tools including ways to reduce personal stress, changing negative self-talk, and dealing with difficult feelings when making tough decisions. The senior living community is working with trusted experts at Lifespan to bring the program to Rochester.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers will be held at The Village at Mill Landing, 45 Mill Road, Rochester, NY 14626, on March 19, 26, April 2, 9, 23 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
