Áegis Living Expands Executive Team with Three Hires

BELLEVUE, WA — Áegis Living has expanded its executive team, adding three new leaders: Troy Nelson is the new chief operating officer; Jamie Ranzan has joined as chief financial officer; and Kevin Hunter has been appointed senior vice president of operations.

Drawing from nearly two decades of global operational leadership at Nike and Nordstrom, Nelson possesses the multi-faceted skills and experience to drive Áegis’ ambitious growth plans.

With more than two decades of finance leadership in senior housing, Ranzan joins Áegis from her tenure as president at Solera Senior Living and CFO/COO at MorningStar Senior Living.

Hunter’s 30 years in the industry include roles at Sunrise Senior Living, Atria, Watermark, and Hearth Management.

In early May, Áegis launched a new provocative brand campaign, “Aging is Life.” Drawing local and national attention, the campaign has both been a success externally as well as internally among residents, families and team members.

Headquartered in this Seattle suburb, its 38 communities are in Washington, California, and Nevada. Áegis Living has a number of additional communities in development, with Áegis Living San Rafael set to open in summer 2025.
