August 30, 2024

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Atlas Senior Living, an operator of senior-living communities across the Southeast, has partnered with Curana Health, a provider of value-based care for senior-living residents, to offer comprehensive healthcare services to its residents.

According to a press release, the collaboration will provide residents of Atlas Senior Living’s 35 communities with concierge-style access to Curana’s primary care services in their residences and dedicated clinic spaces, including routine preventive care, urgent care, palliative care, and 24/7 access to clinicians. Additionally, Curana clinicians will offer medication reconciliation, phlebotomy services, coordination of on-site imaging, and overall coordination of care.

Atlas Senior Living’s communities will also participate in Curana’s Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and High Needs REACH ACOs, which allow participating communities to earn shared savings by improving quality of care and reducing unnecessary costs for their residents. Curana will also begin offering the Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience (GUIDE) Model at Atlas Senior Living communities in July 2025. GUIDE is a Medicare alternative payment model designed to support individuals living with dementia and their caregivers through increased care coordination and improved access to services.

“Atlas Senior Living is dedicated to growth and innovation while maintaining a steadfast focus on our residents’ well-being,” said co-founder/President/CEO Scott Goldberg. “It is always advantageous for us to collaborate with a company such as Curana, whose vision aligns well with our culture and values. By integrating Curana Health’s expertise in geriatric care and proactive health management, we aim to empower our residents with the highest standards of healthcare, ensuring their comfort and quality of life.”

Launched in 2014 and based in this Alabama city, Atlas Senior Living owns and operates 35 senior living communities across the Southeast United States, including in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas.
