Brandywine Living at Potomac to Break Ground at Former Tennis Club Site on Falls Road

February 8, 2019

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ–Brandywine Living recently announced the expansion of its luxury brand senior living platform into Potomac, MD. Brandywine Living at Potomac will become Brandywine’s 30th senior living community and its second in the Washington, D.C. metro area. The first D.C. metro location, Brandywine Living at Alexandria, opened in March 2018.

“Brandywine Living at Potomac will be like an elegant hotel with a focus on wellness designed for our next generation of seniors,” said Brenda J. Bacon, President and CEO of Brandywine. “Residents will have all of the staff and services they would expect in a high-hospitality setting, such as chefs, chauffeurs and concierges, combined with the peace of mind of licensed nurses and wellness managers to provide that same level of individualized support as needed. There are many families in the Potomac area who want this quality experience for themselves or their parents with proximity to where they live and work. Most of all, they want those they love to be happy and to look forward to every day.”

The 120-suite community will be located at 10800 Potomac Tennis Lane, overlooking Falls Road Golf Course and across from the prestigious Bullis School.

The new community is part of a growing joint venture between Brandywine Living and Welltower, Inc. (NYSE: WELL), an S&P 500 company headquartered in Toledo, Ohio focused on driving the transformation of health care infrastructure.

The Brandywine community will feature interior and exterior courtyards, a therapy pool and gym, a beauty salon, a movie theatre, multiple dining venues, outdoor patios, private dining rooms, and many other elements designed to enhance the quality of the resident experience.

Brandywine Living at Potomac will open for residency in early 2020. The on-site Information Center will open in early Spring of 2019.

Founded in 1996, the addition of the Potomac location expands the Brandywine portfolio of assisted living, memory care and independent living options to 30 communities in seven states (PA, NJ, NY, CT, DE, VA & MD) with capacity to serve over 3,000 residents.
