Capitol Seniors Housing Breaks Ground on Clubhouse and More Residences at Siena, an Active Living Community in Cinnaminson Township (NJ)

October 29, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. and CINNAMINSON TOWNSHIP, NJ–Capitol Seniors Housing (CSH), a leading senior living investment and development firm, officially broke ground on the final addition to the master plan for Siena, an upscale Active Living community in Cinnaminson Township, N.J.

The ceremony included remarks from Mayor Donald Brauckmann and representatives from CSH and Cove Property Management. CSH acquired Siena earlier this year. New construction will include a state-of-the-art clubhouse and seven residential buildings with 119 luxury homes for lease. The new homes will feature large and spacious floor plans with well-appointed kitchens, laundry rooms and other amenities. The project is expected to be completed as early as mid-2019.

“We are very excited about this project and the completion of Siena. Active living communities are a rapidly growing subsector of senior living that appeals to adults who are ready to downsize and live near neighbors like themselves, but not quite ready for the more traditional independent living community,”said Michael Hartman, Principal – Active Living, Capitol Seniors Housing. “We are also thrilled about the opportunity to be a part of the redevelopment efforts along Route 130, including new tenants in The Shoppes at Cinnaminson across the street from Siena.”

Located at 1411 Siena Drive across from The Shoppes at Cinnaminson, Siena is a 15-acre development and home to adults aged 55 or older and currently consists of five buildings with a total of 85 residences. Existing and new residences at Siena are all two-bedroom models ranging from 1,114 to 1,873 square feet. Residences will also include contemporary finishes including granite countertops, luxury plank flooring, stainless appliances and custom cabinetry.

“Completing Siena’s master plan perfectly aligns with our investment strategy and vision for our Active Living division,” said Scott Stewart, Managing Partner of Capitol Seniors Housing. “We look forward to becoming part of the Cinnaminson Township community, which offers an amazing quality of life and is an ideal area for retirees to live.”

Located off the Burlington Pike at 470 U.S. 170, Siena is ideally situated within minutes of the Philadelphia bridges and near numerous shopping centers, restaurants, service retailers and country clubs. Nearby retail includes The Shoppes at Cinnaminson and five malls all within a 20-minute drive. Recreation and social activities are close by and include the Pomona Swim Club, as well as Riverton, Willow Brook and Ramblewood country clubs.

Siena is 15 minutes from Cooper Hospital and Kennedy Memorial Hospital and near Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Virtua Memorial Hospital in Burlington County and Deborah Heart and Lung.

Siena will be managed by Cove Property Management, based in Annapolis, Maryland. Currently, Cove’s portfolio includes properties in the Maryland, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and New Jersey areas.

In addition to Siena, Capitol Senior Housing also has other holdings in New Jersey, including the recently opened Arbor Terrace Mountainside, Atria Norwood, as well as Arbor Terrace Morris Plains and The Chelsea at the Solana Marlboro. The company is constructing two other senior living communities in New Jersey: Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel and The Chelsea at Shrewsbury.

Additionally, Capitol Seniors Housing is constructing Arbor Terrace Waugh Chapel in Gambrills, Maryland; Arbor Terrace Maple Lawn in Fulton, Maryland; Atria Glenview in Glenview, Illinois; Stonegate at Greenburgh in Greenburgh, New York; and Stone Hill of Andover in Andover, Massachusetts.
