Former Construction Executives Create Innovative Senior Living Development Firm

July 11, 2016

SCOTTSDALE, AZ–After nearly 20 years of building senior living facilities for one of the country's largest contractors, Brendan Morrow and Michael Hass have formed Drive Development Partners, a development and project management firm focused on senior living. Adapting innovations in project delivery learned in the design and construction of communities from coast to coast, their mission with Drive is to deliver great projects to market utilizing alternative project leadership, innovative design management, and cutting-edge cost control methodologies. Combined, Hass and Morrow built over 8,000,000 square feet of senior living projects nationwide with The Weitz Company and are able to lean on decades of lessons from those projects.

"Our focus, passion, and experience help great teams create great projects very deliberately, but in an entirely new way," said Hass.  Drive Development is currently engaged by operators, private equity investors, non-profit sponsors, and even other developers around the United States to make the development process faster, easier, simpler, or scalable. Having hands-on experience in preconstruction and construction, Drive Development Partners addresses specific development challenges from the perspective of capital constraints, speed to-market, community operations, and marketability.  In their role as owner representatives for developers they lean on those years in the industry as builders to control risk, manage capital outlays, monitor schedules, and lead complex teams.

Drive Development Partners offers the following services:
•Turnkey Development
•Master Planning
•Co-Development
•Owner's Representation
•Operations Consulting
•Construction Monitoring

"We enjoy the high profile, high stress projects and are willing to tailor our role to deliver the right product to what the market or the project needs," said Morrow.

Since starting operations last year, Drive Development Partners has already impacted over a dozen communities and has worked with notable senior living industry leaders on projects from California to Florida. "We know and understand the key components associated with senior living projects. These projects matter not just because it's what we do, but it's what we do best," said Hass.
