Lenbrook Breaks Ground for $115 Million Expansion

ATLANTAOn October 2, Lenbrook, Atlanta’s premier intown community for engaged senior living for more than 35 years, broke ground for its approximately $115 Million expansion called Kingsboro at Lenbrook.

Located on a four-acre parcel adjacent to Lenbrook’s established Buckhead campus, Kingsboro at Lenbrook will add 53 independent residences called Flats and Villas, scheduled to open in 2022. “We are delighted but not surprised by the strong advance interest in our elegant, spacious new homes, and are eager to start construction,” said Chris Keysor, President and CEO of Lenbrook.

The Flats are comprised of 39 residences in a five-story building with a variety of floor plans ranging from 1,700-3,200 square feet, while the Villas will consist of three buildings, each with four to five residences between 2,000 and 3,200 square feet.

“This high-end construction project is another sign of Buckhead’s vitality, and we celebrate Lenbrook’s decision to add well-designed luxury home options for elegant senior living,” noted Jim Durrett, Executive Director of the Buckhead CID at the groundbreaking ceremony. Kingsboro at Lenbrook positively impacts the Lenbrook residents as well as the Buckhead community. It provides safe access to Peachtree Road, and preserves the look and feel of the surrounding neighborhood.”

Residents of the new expansion will be able to enjoy all of Lenbrook’s acclaimed services and amenities including five distinct dining venues as well as a full continuum of on-site healthcare services. The expansion will have an enclosed, climate-controlled connector as well as an on-demand shuttle service between Kingsboro at Lenbrook and the main campus. This expansion will bring Lenbrook’s total number of residences to 479, including independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing.

Founded in 1983, Lenbrook is a not-for-profit senior living community and the first and only Life Plan Community in Atlanta to achieve international accreditation by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
