ON THE MOVE: Recent Personnel Moves in Senior Living

Andrew Goshert has joined 2Life Communities as deputy chief at Nahanton Campus in Newton, Massachusetts. Goshert is responsible for integrating and managing a pair of 2Life buildings on one campus: 144 existing affordable apartments at Coleman House and 174 moderate-income apartments in a development called Opus Newton, which is set to open in 2025. Goshert comes to 2Life from LCB Senior Living, where he served as senior executive director responsible for community operations.
Sodalis Senior Living has announced the hiring of Terry Carpenter as corporate director of risk management. Carpenter is responsible for all risk management and insurance matters at both the corporate and senior community level. He brings 16 years of experience in the hospitality industry, where he has served as a director of operations, general manager, training manager, director of resort assets & services, and corporate director of risk & insurance.
The Glades at ChampionsGate, an independent-living, assisted-living and memory-care community managed by Watermark Retirement Communities in central Florida, has hired Dan Guanio as executive director. Guanio has more than 16 years of experience in senior living, having served as an executive director for most of his career, including for Atria Senior Living, Saber Healthcare, and Watercrest Senior Living Group.
Buckner Retirement Services has named Alyssa Adam senior director of sales. In her new role, Adam leads community sales teams. She comes to Buckner with 14 years of experience in senior living marketing and sales, most recently as chief marketing officer at The Legacy Senior Communities.
Laporsha Chavers has been promoted to executive director for Porter Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Tinley Park, Illinois. She oversees all care, operations, and programming. Chavers previously was the community’s associate executive director, and she has also served as associate executive director for Grace Point Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The certified dementia care practitioner brings over 18 years of senior living experience to this position. Tiffany Bell has also been promoted to executive director at an Anthem Memory Care community: Cascade Creek in Rochester, Minnesota. She was most recently life engagement director for Cascade Creek. A certified dementia practitioner, she has more than 23 years of senior living experience.
Edgemere, a senior living community in Dallas, Texas, has announced in a press release that Ryan Bixler and Leslie Doran Sparciano have joined the team. Bixler is the new culinary director, while Sparciano is now a sales counselor at the community.
Randall Lonoza announced on LinkedIn that he has joined Oakmont Senior Living and Ivy Living as vice president of culinary services. He was most recently National Director of Culinary Services at Kisco Senior Living.
Jamal Fowler has been promoted to transportation supervisor at Edgehill, a CCRC operated by Benchmark Senior Living in Stamford, Connecticut. He has been at Edgehill since 2019, working as a concierge, an assistant in the activities department, and as a driver. Additionally, Sofia Santiago and Dequan Clarke have joined Edgehill as IT associates.
