PointClickCare Expands its Partnership with Cliniconex, Offering Senior Care Providers a Fully-Integrated Solution for Resident Family Engagement

February 4, 2020

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO–PointClickCare, the leading cloud-based software vendor for the senior care market, and Cliniconex, an Ottawa-based patient engagement solutions vendor, today announced they have entered into an agreement that will offer senior care providers an integrated solution for resident family engagement. As part of the agreement, PointClickCare will resell Cliniconex’s Automated Care Messaging solution to customers in Canada.

Seamlessly integrated with PointClickCare’s electronic health record (EHR), Automated Care Messaging fully automates patient and resident family outreach. Critical information, such as safety and outbreak announcements, policy changes, care plan reminders, and appointment notices are delivered via voice, text or email, and are automatically logged in resident’s charts to ensure regulatory and standards compliance.

“We are excited to strengthen our existing partnership with Cliniconex and bring this solution to the Canadian market,” said Stuart Feldman, General Manager, Canadian Markets, PointClickCare. “Effective communication and resident engagement must be customizable, and both enhance and complement pre-existing workflows. Automated Care Messaging will help us deliver further value to senior care facilities by enabling them to personalize communication while reducing administrative burden, so care providers can allocate more time to frontline care.”

In 2018, the company introduced Cliniconex as one of the first entrants into the PointClickCare Marketplace, an online platform that enables customers to easily evaluate authorized third-party technology partners. Partners listed on the PointClickCare Marketplace offer integrated apps and/or services that are designed to be quickly deployed and work seamlessly with providers’ existing workflows. Cliniconex’s resident and family engagement solution will remain listed as an integrated offering on the PointClickCare Marketplace for customers in the United States.

“Coordinating care at scale, while complying with privacy standards and local legislation, is highly complex for organizations to manage,” said Anthony Mar, CEO, Cliniconex. “Today, many care teams reach out to families and other stakeholders using traditional means, such as manual phone calls. This puts an unnecessary burden on care teams who are already being stretched thin. With advanced engagement technology like Cliniconex’s, we can free these resources to focus on what matters most: providing direct frontline care to residents.”

In January 2019, PointClickCare Technologies Inc. announced the opening of its fourth Canadian office, located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The company helps long-term and post-acute care (LTPAC) providers gain the confidence they need to navigate the new realities of value-based healthcare—achieving preferred status in competitive and shrinking networks, optimizing financial and operational health, attracting and retaining the right staff, and connecting to the right partners and insights needed to effectively manage and mitigate risk.

Recognized by Forbes as one of the Top 100 Private Cloud Companies and acknowledged by KLAS Research as Best in KLAS Vendor for Long-term Care, PointClickCare leads the way in creating cloud-based environments where providers, patients, and payers eliminate data silos between care settings, connecting stakeholders to meaningful insights. With a suite of fully integrated applications powered by an interoperable, mobile friendly, and regulatory-compliant electronic health record and revenue cycle management platform, PointClickCare helps care providers connect and collaborate within their care network. Over 21,000 skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities, and home health agencies use PointClickCare today, making it the North American healthcare IT market leader for the LTPAC industry.
