Reata Glen Welcomes First Residents to Area’s Newest Senior Living Community

May 17, 2019

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA–Reata Glen, the area’s newest senior living community in South Orange County, is officially open. The Life Plan Community estimates it will welcome more than 300 new residents to the community the week of May 28.

Reata Glen, which broke ground in 2016, is located on 60 acres at 2 Las Estrellas Loop in between the new master plan community of Rancho Mission Viejo and San Juan Capistrano. It includes 480 residential living apartment homes with 20 unique floor plans and sweeping views of the surrounding valley. The senior living community will meet the needs of the growing senior population in South Orange County, as the number of baby boomers is expected to double within the next 20 years.

“Reata Glen is a wonderful addition to the Rancho Mission Viejo area,” said Suzanne Nasraty, executive director of Reata Glen. “It represents a significant investment in senior living, provides a positive impact, and adds another jewel to our community. It’s amazing to hear and see the number of people who’ve stepped forward to say, ‘This is what the city needed,’ and Reata Glen is exactly the lifestyle all of us should want in retirement.”

The community offers more than 200 activities a month and amenities that promote the vibrant and healthy lifestyle of residents, including a movie theater, performing arts theater, a state-of-the-art fitness center and spa, an indoor pool, multiple dining venues, billiards and card rooms, gardening areas, putting green, dog park, and walking and cycling trails with access to San Juan Creek Trail, leading directly to Doheny State Beach.

The Life Plan Community also offers care at the adjacent health center, where residents will have access to assisted living, memory care, and long-term care in a skilled nursing center, if they ever need it.

“Seniors in the area have been wanting something different, something fulfilling; a community with flexibility and lifestyle options they can’t find anywhere else,” noted Nasraty. ”And given the changing times, we’ve made it a top priority to provide seniors with a sense of security—they want to know that everything they’ve worked hard to attain in life is protected.”

Reata Glen partnered with California-based W.E. O’Neil Construction and KTGY Group Architects + Planning in building the community that will offer an estimated 300 jobs in the Rancho Mission Viejo area.
