Senior Care Facilities Offered Free Software During COVID-19 Crisis

April 15, 2020

EVANSVILLE, IN–SafeKeeping, Inc. announced that in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the software company is providing its Family Communicator platform free to all senior care facilities in the U.S. and Canada.

Those facilities who manage patient records in PointClickCare can also share resident health updates with families to ease concerns. Senior care facilities around the nation have imposed strict no-visitation policies, isolating residents from family and putting added burdens on staff.

“We started SafeKeeping with a mission to help senior care centers forge better connections with their customers.” said SafeKeeping CEO Doug Wilcox. “Having partnered with PointClickCare – and thanks to their cooperation – we can provide our software to facilities wanting to keep families connected and give peace-of-mind that their loved ones are safe.” Wilcox added.

SafeKeeping’s Family Communicator enables care staff to quickly and easily send real-time mass notifications via SMS text and email. Families also can see resident health information through a PointClickCare integration. Facilities currently using SafeKeeping see a reduction of time-consuming family requests for resident updates as well as improved family satisfaction.

SafeKeeping’s Family Communications Manager connects facilities with residents’ families to give insights into family interactions, satisfaction, and care coordination. With its browser-based software, families can access patient care updates, rate and provide feedback on the facility and be notified of major events.
