The Landing of North Haven Celebrates Its Grand Opening December 12

SEATTLE, WA–The Landing of North Haven, the first Assisted Living and Memory Care Community community in the close-knit Connecticut town, will celebrate its Grand Opening on Thursday, December 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. The Landing is located at 201 Clintonville Road, North Haven, CT 06473.

First Selectman Mike Freda, who has been a big support of The Landing, will be in attendance and will cut the ribbon at 4:30 p.m. Visitors will enjoy a live band that will perform an eclectic mix of music including jazz, Big Band, and favorites from the 70s, 80s and 90s. There will also be food, beer, wine, and a champagne toast.

“North Haven is such a tight-knit community,” said General Manager Eric Piekarz. “We are finding that some of our residents are reconnecting with their high school friends or that they know each other’s relatives. It’s exciting to see the connections being made.”

Residents can enjoy a robust activity calendar within the community as well as special trips into The Greater New Haven area, enjoying a night out at dinner or at the theatre, all part of the Five-Star Fun philosophy behind all of Leisure Care’s senior communities.

The Landing at North Haven offers 124 apartments—87 are assisted living, 37 are memory care. It will feature a wide range of amenities and many signature programs, including full-service restaurant from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Café/Bistro that offers meal alternatives, happy hours and features self-serve ice cream freezer; game room; full serve salon and barber shop for men and women; in house movie theatre; PrimeFit fitness gym with a full-time certified PrimeFit trainer; and Opal Memory Care that is tailored to the individual and includes physical fitness, sensory stimulation, and spiritual well-being.

When The Landing is full, it will employ 75-80 people fulltime along with supplemental staff.

“We are proud of hiring the right people for The Landing,” said Piekarz. “It’s important to us and Leisure Care that we hire the best person for the job, not the resume to get the right caliber of individual. What differentiates us is our focus on hospitality and our three-thirds lifestyle of putting family first, giving back to the community second and meaningfully contributing to your work environment.”
