Villages on MacArthur Holds Donation Drive for the DFW Humane Society

April 10, 2018

“The residents of our facility wanted to focus on animals in need in our local community,” says Nicole Leary, wellness director of The Villages on MacArthur. “We have been making tie toys to donate, as well as part of our Life Works Wellness program this month. I have a rescue dog that visits the residents here sometimes, and it just brings so much joy and love to our residents when he visits them.”

The public is invited to bring donations of unused goods to The Villages on MacArthur, 3443 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX—cat litter; cat and dog toys, food and treats; towels and blankets (new or gently used); monetary donations. The DFW Humane Society gives the animals in their care Science Diet food but will accept all dog and cat food donations.

The Villages on MacArthur is a senior living complex offering skilled care, rehabilitation, and memory care. The Villages offer a wide variety of services including short-term transitional care to bridge the gap between hospital and home to long-term placement for those unable to manage in a more independent environment. Memory care, extensive physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as other treatments for residents recovering from hip, knee or cardiac surgeries, wound care, or other injuries or illnesses are also offered.
